CAREERS IN AUDITING
The Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) has launched a website to provide information to students, parents, educators, and school counselors about careers in public auditing. Among its resources are fact sheets about the profession, toolkits about careers in auditing, videos featuring auditors explaining their day-to-day work, resources to help individuals prepare for the CPA exam, and a forum that allows students and educators to ask auditors questions or arrange classroom visits. The CAQ launched the website ahead of the second annual #AuditorProud day on social media. Visit DiscoverAudit.org.
OpenStax, a publisher of free electronic textbooks based at Rice University in Houston, Texas, is partnering with the digital public library OER Commons to provide online communities where instructors can share and modify syllabi, homework, study guides and other open-copyright course materials made specifically for the 25 textbooks in the OpenStax catalog.
