Contribute
BizEd welcomes editorial submissions that cover relevant topics, news, personal viewpoints, and other issues of interest to the business education community. Press releases also are considered for the Headlines and Technology sections.

Each contribution is reviewed by the BizEd editorial staff and advisory council. Submissions are chosen based on originality, quality, clarity, persuasiveness, immediate relevance to readers, and suitability with the editorial calendar. All submissions are subject to space constraints and editorial discretion.

Editorial decisions are made within six weeks of submission. All contributions are edited according to BizEd’s editorial style. For issue deadlines, view the editorial calendar.

Feature Articles

BizEd’s featured articles are in-depth, journalistic contributions that address business education topics descriptively and provocatively. Featured articles are intended to reflect the expertise, intellect, and experience of their authors. Submissions should be between 1,500 and 3,000 words and reflect a tone that is informal, descriptive, and personal—versus an academic journal writing style.

Topics should include areas such as: curricula design and maintenance; student learning environments and assessment; successful and innovative delivery methods; effective fund-raising techniques; use of advanced technology within the business school; student and faculty recruitment/retention strategies; methods and ideas to globalize business programs; as well as other emerging trends that are related to business education.

Your Turn

Your Turn is a section within BizEd that explores personal viewpoints on topics that are important to business education. This section is written by business school deans faculty, practitioners, and students. Submissions should be approximately 1,000 to 1,500 words and include a photograph of the author.

Spotlight

Spotlight is a one-page feature with a photo that highlights a business school’s course, program, event, or initiative. To be considered, schools should submit program information related to uniqueness, student and faculty activities, awards, funding, research, etc. The information may be submitted in the form of printed materials, Web sites, or other written descriptions. Schools also should submit four to six four-color images that depict the business school’s facilities, curricula or courses, events, or geographical location. Images must be in JPG or TIFF format, 300DPI or higher, and at least 3 inches by 4 inches or equivalent. Programs are selected based on uniqueness and the quality of materials provided (images, descriptions, etc.).

Headlines

The Headlines section contains news from schools and faculty from around the world regarding new programs/collaborations, honors/awards, new leadership appointments, student activities, grants/donations, new facilities, research initiatives, technology, and other announcements business schools and educators want to share with BizEd readers.
